Funktioniert ein FPGA für RF Signal Generation?

Hallo,

 

Ich frage mich, was für ein FPGA ich nehmen sollte und ob FPGAs überhaupt geeignet für meine Aufgabe sind.

 

Im Grunde möchte ich Pulse generieren, die willkürlich in time-slots eingeordnet werden. Im Durchschnitt soll der zeitliche Abstand der Pulse 1/(4Ghz) oder kleiner sein.

Die Ausgänge des FPGAs sollen synchronisiert sein. Bitte siehe auch den experimentellen Aufbau im Anhang. Die Frage ist, ob so ein schnelles Signal überhaupt generiert werden kann? Ich frage, weil doch die interne FPGA clock im Mhz Bereich ist?
