How is the HPS node type changed?

I inherited a design that needs to be migrated to a different FPGA. When I run the fitter, I see an error that reads,

"Can't assign node "my node name" to location PIN_E16 -- node type is HPS SPI Master peripheral 171011. How I change the node type to get past this error?

What's the original device and what device are you moving to?

Chances are you need to go into the HPS IP parameter settings and regenerate the IP, then regenerate the Platform Designer system before recompiling.
