How to use the DAC module on the DE2 board ?

Hi all,

I'm using the DE2 board, and I would like to make a demo project where I would display the evolution of a signal (vhdl) on an oscilloscope.

Since the signal is a std_logic_vector (signed fixed representation), so digital, I need a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) to be able to measure it through the oscilloscope.

So after several searches on the internet, and no clear finds, my questions are : is it possible to use the 10 bits DAC present on the DE2 board for my simple application since it is specified as a VGA DAC ? If yes, how to instanciate this DAC on quartus ? If no, maybe can you suggest me some other solutions ?

Thanks for your help !
