I am curious about the exact difference between gx and lp in cyclone 10

I do not understand exactly what I read on the homepage.

If I complete some logic in LP,

Could that logic not work on GX?

Hi,

It depends on what is the design application. Intel Cyclone 10 GX FPGAs provide 12.5G transceiver-based functions, 1.4 Gbps LVDS, and up to 72 bit wide DDR3 SDRAM interface at up to 1,866 Mbps. Intel Cyclone 10 GX FPGAs are optimized for high-bandwidth performance applications, such as machine vision, video connectivity, and smart vision cameras.

Intel Cyclone 10 LP FPGAs are optimized for low static power, low-cost applications, such as I/O expansion, sensor fusion, motor/motion control, chip-to-chip bridging, and control.

Both device families have different architecture, IP, feature, etc supported. You may refer to the details in the link below:

Intel® Cyclone® 10 GX FPGA Features

Besides this, the link below details the available resources (logic element, memory, I/O, transceiver, etc) in both device families.

Also, please note that Cyclone 10 LP device is supprted in the standard edition of the Intel Quartus Prime software and Cyclone 10 GX is supported in the Pro edition.

Thanks.
