Is the automatic FPGA configuration with EPCQ-L configuration device possible?

Hello Comunity,

In our board with Arria10, currently we keep configuration in QSPI NOR FLASH device partitioned by u-boot. The configuration is loaded from u-boot at startup and then the linux starts.

If we use EPCQ-L configuration device, do we need some software (like u-boot) to load the configuration or there is fabric IP component which takes care about it using MSEL pins.

Hi,

If you are mentioning about using EPCQ-L connected directly to the FPGA configuration pin then the FPGA will automatically boot from the flash without the HPS booting. It will automatically configured which is similar on how the FPGA without HPS is being configured.
