N3000-2 XL710 or XVV710?

Q1:    Why is it that when I execute 'lspci' command on my server, the result is XXV710, but the corresponding device in the N3000 manual is XL710?

Q2:    Will XL710-BM2 or XXV710 in N3000-2 support RDMA?

Thanks for your reply!

1) Thanks for the feedback. I have filed to confirm and correct on this issue.

2) Based on below spec:

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/95260/intel-ethernet-network-adapter-xxv710-da2.html

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/83967/intel-ethernet-converged-network-adapter-xl710-qda2.html

Both XL710 and XXV710 does not support RDMA

In the newest PV1.1, in lspci, there is no mention of the variant to avoid confusion.
The datasheet naming remains XL710.

If you still seeing this issue despite having the latest Acceleration Stack + drivers installed.
Can you share with me the i40e and NVM firmware driver versions? Run "ethtool -i <linkname>"

For linkname, you can get by running "lshw -c network -businfo"...look at the corresponding linkname to the BDF of the Ethernet controller.

1) Which acceleration stack are you using? "rpm -qa | grep opae"

2) How about if you switch to the factory boot image? "rsu fpga -f".....do you see the naming XXV710?

Also, please capture "fpgainfo fme" "fpgainfo port"

3) What is your OS/kernel version?

"cat /etc/*elease"

"uname -r"

2) How about if you switch to the factory boot image? "rsu fpga -f".....do you see the naming XXV710? Please capture "fpgainfo fme" "fpgainfo port" for factory boot image, and lspci check the naming again.

3) What is your OS version? "cat /etc/*elease"

Here is the version of OS.

And I don`t understand the question (2) well, when I commanded 'rsu fpga -f', I got the result of picture 6.

Could you try this command: "update-pciids" and then send me the logs.

in fact, we have been checked the name of XXV710 on  3 different kind servers at least, and all results are XXV710.
