NOR Flash Device on Cyclone 10 GX dev kit only support JTAG update, not application without JTAG?

Hi,

 

According to C10 block diagram of NOR Flash, it has only supported for FPP via Max10, there is no connections from C10 to Data/Address/Command Line of NOR Flash. Therefore i think it is not possible to use generic Tri-state controller to read/flash NOR flash memory from C10. It is possible to do this on A10 GX dev kit.

 

You could please help to clarify this point. Thank you very much!

Hi,

 

Apologize for the delay in response as i was checking this with my internal team.

 

Yes, it is not possible to use generic Tri-state controller read/flash NOR flash memory from C10. It is recommended to use PFL IP or PFL ii IP to read NOR flash memory from C10.
