Power Sequencing of DK-SI-AGI027FA - FMC-B Connector

Hi,

I have a question regarding the Agilex 7 Development Kit (DK-SI-AGI027FA). Specifically, I need to confirm whether the +12V, +3.3V, and P1V2_IO (FMC_B_ADJ) power rails on the J9 (FMC-B) connector power up simultaneously.

I've reviewed the power tree and power sequence timing diagrams in the user guide (721605). However, I've noticed some inconsistencies between them:

  • According to the power tree and its color coding:

    • The FMC_B_12V rail becomes available during FPGA Power Group 3 stage (LTC4211).
    • The +3.3V@8.3A rail becomes available during FPGA Power Group 1 stage (LTC4365).
    • The P1V2_IO (FMC_B_ADJ) rail becomes available during FPGA Power Group 3 stage (LTM4677).
  • However, according to the power sequence timing diagram, the FMC_B_12V, P1V2_IO, and 3V3_Flash rails all become available during Group 3 stage.

I've attached .JPG files of both the power tree and the timing diagrams for your reference.

Additionally, could you clarify why the color of the FMC+ Card B matches the -1 Power Group stage?

I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide on this matter.

Thank you for your time and help.

Best regards,

Hello,

The power sequencing must follow GROUP 1 > GROUP 2 > GROUP 3. Otherwise the device will not boot up successfully.

FMC connector powers only available during user mode.

regards,

Farabi
