Dear Community,
i have a question related to programming the ek-10m08e144es/p max10 evaluation kit (http://www.altera.com/products/devkits/altera/kit-max-10-evaluation.html). Is it possible to programm this kit with a JTAG-Debugger Probe like the ones from Segger (https://www.segger.com/jlink-debug-probes.html) or is programming the kit only possible with the USB Blaster Cable? With kind regards, M4PP3TLink Copied

According to the documentation, the JTAG Header connects to the JTAG I/F of the MAX10. As the MAX10 has internal Flash to store configuration not only the FPGA will Show up on the JTAG chain. I assume as JTAG is standard I/F, you should be able to use your JTAG probe as well.

I'm building a PCB w/a MAX10 FPGA and trying to determine if I need to buy an Altera programmer or not...the price difference is quite high. Thanks for your help! J
