Servo motor control with FPGA

Hi,

I am doing servo motor control with Texas DSP. However, the DSP's QEP peripheral is insufficient for many servo motor (six motor) encoder readouts.

That's why I want to use an FPGA. However, I don't know which FPGA development kit I should use. Which FPGA development kit should I use? Can I use Texas DSP and FPGA together?

I will read servo motor encoder information with FPGA. (using QEP)
The FPGA will communicate with the DSP.

I have no experience with FPGA.

Sinan,

Thanks,
Best regards,
Good days.

Hi,

FPGA can directly work with QEP Peripheral servo motor or DSP component. You can use any device depending on your requirement on how much features you plan to implement.
