Stratix IV GT Signal Integrity Kit

The Stratix IV GT Signal Integrity Demonstration tool (v9.1.2) cannot connect with the board. 

The message we get is "The GUI could not communicate with the board", without any other information. Note, that the programmer is working fine with the USB blaster and the downloaded file is the signal_integrity_demo1.sof 

Does anybody knows what might be the problem?
