Using LCD on Altera DE2 board

Hi,  

 

I am wondering how to send / display string data on LCD. Is there any driver available ? or any VHDL module which could display data on LCD ?

The Optrex 16207 LCD Controller Core in Chapter 11 is what you can use for a 2 x 16 character display. It should be in the Qsys IP components list somewhere.
