Using the Passive Serial mode to configure CycloneII on DE2

Hi,

I'm currently trying to interface a uProcessor to control the configuration of the CycloneII chip of DE2 board.

I found out that the easiest way a uProcessor can do this is via passive serial reconfiguration mode as stated in the CycloneII datasheet.

The problem is that the DE2 board has the CycloneII wired in such a way that configuration are done via USB blaster.

Is there a way to bypass this USB blaster so that my uProcessor will not need to bother about drivers for a USB host?

Thanks
