Windows XP Command Shell quits?

All,

I'm obviously a beginner with Windows XP and NiosII.

I've downloaded the 9.1 releases of the NiosII EDK and

Quartz stuff and tried to run the examples.

There might be something ludicoursly simple that is not

working as when launch the NiosII Command Shell it quits

right away.

I had the release 7.2 previously installed. Any clue of is going

on?

Thanks,

Pedro

One problem can be that you didn't installed it right. It doesn't run because

it can't find the cygwin.dll or cygwin1.dll file. Select Windows icon in your taskbar and then click Search. Specify there the one of the above files and try to find where it is located on your harddrive. If you can't find it then maybe you didn't install it properly. I have also the NIOS II EDS 9.1 and it works.

All,

In fact and although the cygwin folders is in there (I can launch a terminal without any problem) when I try to locate it via the search it cannot find it. I do not recall doing anything bizarre during installation... (sigh) this should be this hard to do.

Should I reinstall? if so what shall I do different this time around?

Thanks,
