Has any one implemented multiple instances of the XAUI on the Arria 10 SX? I see in the user guide for the PHY it says you can only implement 1 instance but I wasn't sure of the reason.
Also why does the 10GBASE-KR PHY for the arria 10 not support PTP IEEE-1588? Is there a latency issue?

Hi Wilson,
Using this IP Backplane Ethernet 10GBASE-KR PHY Intel® FPGA IP Core you can create multichannel designs by instantiating more than one instance of the core.
The IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) is supported by the preset of the Arria 10 transceiver Native PHY that configures 10GBASE-R PHY IP in IEEE-1588v2 mode.
Please refer to this guide for detailed explanation.
