Hello all,
I am very new to FPGA design.
I am using Cyclone V FPGA in my design and a flash ROM to configure FPGA.
can anyone explain the steps that need to be followed to use flash ROM to configure FPGA in active serial mode. for hardware interface between flash and FPGA I am following cyclone V handbook.
is there a need for me to use flash controller IPs like Generic serial flash controller IP or ASMI parallel flash controller IP?
Regards
Arvinda

Hi,
If you are using 3rd party flash such as Macronix, Cypress, etc.., you need to used Generic Serial Flash Interface Ip.
