java.lang.Exception: No USB Blaster detected.

I am trying to use the Board-Test-System with a Cyclone V FPGA board and I keep getting this error. Another error I am getting that is possibly related is in the Programer software of Quartus II; I have the USB II driver installed but the program fails to load my program to the board. There is no error message that pops up, other than the fail status, however in <Hardware Setup___Add Hardware> it says "kernal mode driver not installed". I am running Quartus II v. 13.0 32-bit and Cyclone V Board-Test-System 12.0. 

 

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Hi, 

 

I had the same issue... 

 

You will need the corresponding Quartus Version from the BTS. 

In your case it is the Version 12.0.
