.pof file generation for Flex 6000 with EPC2 configuration

Hi,

I was using Flex 6000, EPF6016ATC100-3 with EPC2 device and Altera Quartus II v9.0.

I have a .pof file for this fpga which is configured in EPC2 device, which i can able to program into the board.

While I was trying the compilation with source file with it, I am getting error in Generating programming file as EPC2 device can't be configured with Flex 6000. The datasheets of Flex 6k is also mentions the same.

My doubt is, if EPC2 is not compatible with flex 6k, how the existing .pof file is configured with EPC2. Is there any configuration change I missed?

Hi RT0001,

I don't have much information since this is old device.

Based on Configuration Device Datasheet, Flex 6000 doesn't support EPC2 device.

You can refer to the following datasheet for more details (Page 4):

https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/programmable/us/en/pdfs/literature/hb/cfg/cfg_cf52004.pdf#page=4

Thanks

Thanks for your response. I already gone through these documents. That's why mentioned this point already.

The FPGA board I have, is with FLLEX 6k with EPC2 device. I have a .pof file also for this, to program to the board and is working.

So there must be some tool configuration which I am missing.

Regards
