Introduction

Altera Low Latency Ethernet 10G MAC IP is introduced starting from Quartus II 13.0. This IP is supported in Arria V GZ, Stratix V and Arria 10 devices. This IP supports all the existing features supported in the legacy 10G Ethernet MAC with additional of ECC correction and detection feature. Below is the link to the document which provides feature and architecture differences in comparison between the Low Latency Ethernet 10G MAC IP and the Legacy 10G Ethernet MAC IP as well as the migration steps from Legacy 10G Ethernet MAC IP to Low Latency Ethernet 10G MAC IP.
