Does the Asus Z590 Plus board work with the MP (Megapixels brand) 8n1 dock on the USB-C rear port? I tried it and my system crashed. I tried some BIOS setting but nothing worked. I want to use the dock for the 4K HDMI to support online streaming and games. I'm currently using the NVIDIA GT740 card and a monitor at1080P 60FPS.

This is a question for ASUS. Ask them.

I did submit a question about this issue to Asus. No response yet. But I'm posting it here because some of the functionality is based on the Intel processor you're running. For example, 10th gen gets 30FPS 4K, but 11th gen gets 60FPS 4K. I think someone here might be familiar with this issue as it relates to using Thunderbolt devices. Especially in the gaming community of Intel engineers like me. Anyone with experience on an Intel build trying to use the USB-C for 4K HDMI have this issue and solved it let me know.

Hello, @EsportsCSs
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
As Mr. Alhill mentions, you need to contact your System Manufacturer for this kind of question or your GPU manufacturer as you are using an NVIDIA card.
As an additional note, Intel doesn't recommend using docking stations, adapter, dongles as they are third-party products and we cannot guarantee how they will work or if they will work as expected, this can be verified in this article and you can also check some tips for common issues: Using Video Cable Adapters, Splitters and/or Docking Stations in Computers not Manufactured by Intel

Hello, @Jocelyn_Intel
I did speak with Asus Tech and they had me RMA it for warranty service. Turns out the board's HDMI wasn't working. There were other issues I'm now convinced were all related to the board since the tech confirmed the onboard graphics not the dock was likely the whole problem. That's the thing with custom builds you have to consider every part when there's a problem. But you usually learn a lot solving the technical issue. Thanks to everyone that contributed to this topic. Consider it closed unless someone has questions that I can answer that might help them solve a related system issue. Asus said I'll get a new or repaired board back when they figure out the problem.
