Hi, Benivall246.
Thank you for sharing your issue with Fortnite crashing in our Community. To help resolve the problem, I have a few questions I'd like to ask:
- You mentioned receiving an error when attempting to set the game to high priority using the task manager. Could you provide any specific error messages or codes that appear when the game crashes? For example, something like "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED" or "Fortnite has crashed. We're very sorry this happened and we are working towards preventing it in the future." These details can help me better identify the cause of the crashes.
- What graphics card are you using, and have you checked for the latest driver updates? Sometimes outdated drivers can contribute to crashes.
- Could you also share what settings you are using in Fortnite, including resolution and graphics settings?
- Have you tried running the game in windowed mode or with lower graphics settings to see if the crashes persist?
- Is the game running on DirectX 12?
Finally, I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the graphics models, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable us to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue. Also, If you have done any other tests please let me know the details so we don't cover the same ground twice.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Von M.

Hello, Benivall246.
Thank you for sharing the details with us. Let’s work together to troubleshoot the issue. I recommend the following steps to fix the error.
- Get the latest Windows* update:
- Open the Windows Start Menu (button with the Windows logo).
- Click Settings (button with the gear symbol).
- Click Update & Security.
- Select Install Now or Check for Updates.
- Wait for the update to be installed.
- Click Restart now after the update is installed.
- Perform Graphics Driver Clean Installation:
- Download and install the latest Intel® Graphics driver.
- The most recent version of the driver with this issue resolved for UHD graphics. Install that version of the graphics driver or later.
- Refer to the List of Drivers for Intel Graphics for the specific driver needed for the integrated or discrete Intel graphics.
- Follow the Execute a Clean Installation During Driver Installation steps from the article: Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers in Windows*
Furthermore, I recommend changing the Fortnite Window Mode outside the game. Changing the Window Mode or Resolution while in-game may cause crashing issues as the game is rendered under a specific resolution.
Best regards,
Von M.

Sorry to bother, but I'd like to add on and say that this has been a recurring issue concering Fortnite since November of last year and there is yet no solution to this problem whatsoever and even if a person loads into a match the game stutters crazy whilst moving around whether or not you are running or walking and usually ends either with the person dying or the game ultimately crashing. What's worse about this is that even going from different pages like the lobby screen to the battle pass ends for me with a crash, which did not happen before.
