Hello Intel Community,
I hope everyone is doing well. I'm reaching out today because I've encountered a bit of a snag while playing GTA 5 on my Intel Evo laptop, and I'm hoping some of you might have insights or solutions to share.
Issue:
I've been experiencing significant lagging and frame drop issues specifically while playing GTA 5 on my Intel Evo laptop. This has been affecting the overall gaming experience, and I'm eager to find a resolution.
Symptoms:
Lagging during gameplay, especially during intense scenes or fast-paced action.
Frame drops leading to a choppy gaming experience.
Occasional freezes and hitches.
Laptop Specifications:
Processor: Intel Core i7
GPU: Iris Xe MAX
What I've Tried:
I've taken a few steps to troubleshoot, but the issue persists:
Checked for the latest graphics drivers and updated them.
Adjusted in-game settings to lower graphical demands.
Monitored system temperature to ensure it's not overheating.
Closed background applications to free up system resources.
Request for Assistance:
I'm turning to this community in the hope that someone might have encountered a similar issue or has insights into optimizing GTA 5 performance on Intel Evo laptops. If you have any tips, recommended settings, or if you've successfully resolved a similar problem, please share your knowledge!
Your assistance is highly appreciated, and I'm eager to get back to enjoying GTA 5 without the performance hiccups. Thanks in advance for your time and expertise!

So the Intel support engineers can have more information about your system, Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- ) for Windows. Select all data categories and then have it generate a report. Next, have the tool Save the report to a text file (don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work). Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

Hi, susanconner.
Thank you for posting in the Intel Communities. We would be more than glad to help you solve the problem (Lagging and FPS drop issue in GTA V).
To better assist you, we would like to ask for the following details:
- Has the GTA V game worked before?
- Any recent changes that you have made before encountering the lagging and FPS drop issues?
Kindly provide us with your SSU, as it would really help us if we could get more information about your system.
Kindly do the following:
1. Download the Intel® System Support Utility and save the application to your system.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18377/intel-system-support-utility-for-windows.html
2. Open the application, tick Everything, and click Scan to see system and device information. The Intel® System Support Utility defaults to the Summary View on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says summary to change to Detailed View.
3. To save your scan, click Next and click Save. You can save the file to any accessible location on your computer.
4. Attach the text file here.
