By default, the BIOS for most Desktop motherboards will disable the Intel HD Graphics hardware when it detects that a discrete graphics card is detected. Based upon this report, this is exactly what has occurred in your system.

  • If you wish to use only this discrete graphics card for all monitor output, then simply connect your monitors to this card and you are done.

  • If you wish to use both the Intel Graphics engine and the discrete graphics card simultaneously, then what you need to do is go into BIOS Setup and change the configuration so that the Intel Graphics engine is NOT disabled when the discrete graphics card is detected. As you make this change, you will also need to specify which of these solutions will be used for BIOS POST and BIOS Setup output. Whichever you choose must have a monitor connected to it at all times. In some BIOS implementations, a single parameter is used to answer both questions. In other BIOS implementations, separate parameters are used.

Hope this helps,

  1. Please download Intel System Support Utility (SSU).
  2. Run the SSU scan. Save the results and the .txt file with the results, attach to your post (use "paperclip").

  1. Your processor is equipped with Intel HD Graphics 630 integrated graphics. You have already installed the latest DCH driver version 26.20.100.7985. However, the Integrated Graphics is probably disabled in BIOS settings (and that is correct), since you have installed NVIDIA Graphics Card and the video is generated by NVIDIA adapter.
  2. If you want to use the Intel Graphics, you need remove the NVIDIA card and enable the IDG in BIOS.
