Yes, all of these symptoms are telling us that the graphics drivers were customized by Lenovo to support both the dual-graphics solution and perhaps other hardware features (brightness, etc.) and that you cannot use the generic, unmodified drivers directly from Intel or AMD. You need to stick with the drivers provided to you by Lenovo. Since this is an older laptop, I recommend that you not use Intel Driver and Support Assistant with it.
