I have a laptop Vostro 15 3510 , with 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz.
My external monitor is Samsung with 4k resolution.
My maximum available resolution i can choose is 1920 x 1080.
I updated the latest intel iris xe drivers but still not getting the option of 4k resolution.
The HDMI cable is good because i tried with different laptop with same i7 processor and graphics, and the 4k resolution is available.
So how can be solved this issue ?
Thanks

You need to check with Dell. Many of their laptops idiotically limit the resolution of any connected monitor to that of the embedded monitor.
Hope this helps,

Hello @NikMat
Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.
We understand you are trying to get 4K resolution using an external monitor. However, according to the system manufacturer, no 4K/2K output supported, only 1920x1080 @ 60Hz.
As @n_scott_pearson mentioned, many manufacturers limit the resolution. Please contact the OEM for further assistance.
Please, keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel.
Thanks for your understanding.
Best regards,
Jose B.
