I have a Sony VGC RA830G with a conflict on the PCI Express Root Port 2581 with VGA/Save
I have just replaced my 2 mirrored raid drives with a single terrabite drive and upgraded my memory to 3G. Afer using the recovery cds, all is ok except the Video card is not recognized at all and the Intel 915G/P/GV PCI express root bridge port/2581 has a conflict and recommends removing some other component to cure this. The machine functions normally but is obviously running in VGA mode.
Under the monitor properties, the video adapter has the following conflict error message, and is running under VGA/save

I have downloaded and installed the correct legacy Intel chipset drivers from sony as well as the sony library...to no avail. I have tried to run the Intel hardware identifier but it just sits there and does nothing.
The video card is a asus Nvidia 6600
Any suggestions will be welcomed.
