ARC A770 Drivers fail on Windows 11 Home Insider Build 28351.zn_Release.230528-0554

I am currently running this fast path home insider version of windows 11, it has completely messed with my A770 card.

My PC Boots fine, the BIOS shows up on my monitor and it starts to load windows, then all of my monitors are black, but I still have a mouse pointer.

If I remove the intel drivers  (using the Beta as life is a risk gfx_win_101.4382) the card functions, but I get none of the benefits. The USB RGB control still works fine, so it does look pretty at least.

If I restart using my old Radeon card I get the windows troubleshooting boot, so I suspect windows is not starting correctly with the drivers installed. I have reported to MS as it's early release software from them but wondered if anyone else has seen this.

Hello Colin68

Thank you for posting on the Intel Communities. I am sorry you are experiencing issues when booting into Windows.

In the case of the Insider Preview builds you will need to continue working with Microsft as this build will contain bugs and issues that Microsfot will need to fix as this is the main purpose of the Insider Preview program, to report issues to Microsfot. If you happen to roll back to a stable Windows version 226221 and the issue still happens feel free to let us know so we can further assist.

I am currently stuck in the windows insider Escher designed support process, hopefully I'll hear back from them soon. If I remove the Intel drivers for the A770 it starts up, but as soon as I install new drivers it stops working. Hard to send Microsoft diagnostics when I have no working monitors and they of course say they can investigate without diagnostics. I'll keep bashing my head against the wall until they fix the problem.

Cheers
Colin

Hello Colin68

Thank you for letting us know and for your understanding. Since a similar issue happens with Radeon graphics this is potentially a bug within the OS, however, as mentioned in case you roll back to a stable version and the issue persists feel free to open a new topic so we can further assist.

Since this thread has been marked as solved and the issue will be handled from the Microsoft side we will be closing this thread.
