I'm trying to connect my laptop to my TV through HDMI however the HDMI is not being recognized. When I go to Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel it says that Monitor/TV Setting are not supported?? Also in general settings and multiple displays there is only one option to select (single/built-in display).
I don't understand why this is...how do I enable the HDMI to connect to the TV?
I'm 100% sure that both the HDMI cable and TV work as I've connected them with another laptop I have and it worked perfectly.
Have been trying all day to fix this, anyone have a solution?
Below is the report if that's any help:

Thanks for joining the graphics community.
I see you are trying to connect your computer to your TV via HDMI port.
At this point, make sure TV settings are selected properly to pick HDMI connection, select HDMI as TV out source.
If possible try testing another HDMI monitor, this will ensure HDMI port on the computer is working properly.
Try straight cables, this time make sure you are using HDMI to HDMI cable, not an adapter.
Check computer BIOS to see if there is an option for HDMI enable/disable.
