Hello Community,
I have an Intel Arc A750 GPU in my PC and I want to use it for CAD. I have Siemens Solid Edge (Not SOLIDWORKS!) and it never seems to access the GPU. It uses the CPU for everything and this makes performance extremely slow. As an example, when I try to extrude a relatively simply part until it reaches another part, it can take more than 120 seconds to update.
When I check Task manager, it looks like Solid Edge never even accesses the GPU.
I have the latest drivers installed, but they are not the WHQL version. Does that matter?
This is a self-built machine. I am running an AMD Ryzen 7 2700x on an ASUS X570-PRO Motherboard with 32GB RAM and Windows 11.
Any advice or do I need to buy a new GPU to use Solid Edge?

Hi Supchu,
It would be a great help if we could get more information about your system to properly analyze the root cause. In addition to that, please download the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software that will allow us to be more familiar with your system configuration and be able to provide an appropriate fix.. When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.
- Scan: Check the box Everything.
- Click Scan.
- Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
- Click Save and attach the log file (.txt) as you post back.
I will wait for your reply.
Best regards,
Jeanette C.

Hello Jeanette,
Apologies for the delay. It has been a busy few days!
Attached, please find the results of the SSU scan. I hope it provides some insight.
Also, I have downloaded FreeCAD and I have not noticed the same slow performance as I do with Solid Edge, even while performing the same tasks.
Please let me know if there's anything I can do to make this work. I like the ARC 750 for everything else and I'd like to keep using it if possible.

Hello Supchu,
Thank you for sharing the logs. Upon analyzing the logs, I can confirm that you have the 31.0.101.5522. However, I want to better understand when you mention you did not use the WHQL version. May I please know where you downloaded the current driver of the Arc A750? Additionally, what version of Siemens Solid Edge are you using? Just to confirm as well, in the BIOS setting of your system, is the Discrete Graphics Card\Arc A750 enabled? This will help us be more efficient with the troubleshooting recommendation.
I will be waiting for your reply.
