Arc A750 on pcie gen 3

I'm thinking about upgrading my EVGA 1080 ti FTW 3 to a Arc A750 but I'm concerned about how it will perform on pcie gen 3 instead of gen 4. I know the core clock will be slower than 2050. The reason for the upgrade is because Starfield keeps getting a gpu crash with my 1080 ti. And I'm wondering how it will behave with 2 display port monitors and 1 hdmi monitor plugged in. I will eventually be upgrading to a EVGA Z790 Classified mobo and a i7-13700k.

My current pc specs:
Cpu: Intel i7-9800x
Mobo: EVGA X299 DARK w/ Resizable Bar bios update
GPU: EVGA 1080 ti FTW 3
RAM: 32GB (4x8GB) G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200
OS M.2: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME

Hello Dreadnaught,

Thank you for posting on the Intel®️ communities. I understand the importance for you knowing if the Intel® Arc™ A750 Graphics performance is good with PCIe gen 3, I will be more than happy to help you.

There are different aspects to take into account to ensure you get the best experiences with Intel® Arc™ Graphics, and they are the following:

  • Full-size PCI Express 3.0 (or newer) x16 slot. Meaning that you are able to install it in a PCIe gen 3.
  • At least a 10th Gen Intel® Core™ Processors and Intel 500 Series motherboard with Resizable BAR support enabled or Intel 400 Series motherboard with Resizable BAR support enabled.

For more information, you can access in Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics – Desktop Quick Start Guide.

Let me know if you have further questions.

I'm going to try my set up and see how it works. I read some forum posts saying the Intel arc gpu works with 9th gen cpu with a mobo that supports resizeable bar. But I will be upgrading my cpu mobo and ram soon so that the gpu is more compatible.

Hello Dreadnaught,

Thank you for your response.

Happy to hear that I have answered your questions, you can test the graphics card with a 9th Gen processor, but remember that we can not guarantee it will properly work.

For now, we will close this thread. If you need any additional information, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
