My laptop(hp 15 r078tu with intel pentium n3540) was pre-installed with win 8.1 single language with bing. Tried clean installing win 8.1 single language( it didn't activate, though that's not the problem) the brightness control buttons didn't work, yes, then installed graphics driver from my manufacturer, HP's site and voila, it solved my problem(at least for then). shut down my computer and started it after a while, now brightness control is reversed, restarted it, problem solved(again, for then), shut down again and the problem reappears, tried driver from intel's website, problem is fixed until I shut down again. Clean installed Win 10( this one is activated) had same problem that is bold.
The question is:
Do I need to use my recovery to get back to 8.1 as there are no stable drivers for my graphic card when I clean install a new OS?

Hello raj381,
Thank you for joining the Intel communities.
In this case I suggest to use your system manufacturer driver, uninstall the driver first, restart your system and then install the latest driver from your system manufacturer and as well any other newest driver available from your system manufacturer website.
Try also having your system up to date, run Windows update with all updates available and if possible contact your system manufacturer for support.
Best wishes,
Ivan
