I have an Acer Aspire E5-571P Laptop with an Intel Core i5-4210U and Intel HD 4400. As I was browsing the manufacturer's website, I saw some new drivers were released, and went to install them. I downloaded them, and ran the setup, but after accepting the terms and agreements, I was presented with the finish screen. There were no prompts, loading bars, or requests to reboot. There was literally less than a second between accepting the terms and agreements and the success screen. The name of the update is Chipset_Intel_9.4.0.1026_W81x64_A.
Device Manager shows the following drivers installed for my chipset and graphics respectively.
Is there an error somewhere? Would it be best for me to just use the Intel generic drivers or is there a way to use the drivers I listed from my manufacturer? Thanks in advance.

Upon contacting my manufacturer, it appears as though I have the most recent driver version. They said the package number and driver version may vary and mine is the most recent, hence the difficulties. Thank you for your help.

It appears you are running Windows 8.1 64 bit. You can try generic Intel(R) drivers here: File name: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/24596/Intel-Iris-and-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-64-bit?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/24596/a08/win64_153614.exe win64_153614.exe
Please bear in mind your computer may require customized drivers from the system maker but you can test our generic versions.
Allan.
