Hi Kevin,

I having the same problem others had on a past post.

I have an Hp 2000 notebook pc Intel in core with windows 8.1 64 bit.

I recently purchased Watch Dogs and I can't play it with my current driver which is the HD 3000. When I try to update to the HD 4000 I get the error that my software is not compatible.

I've researched everywhere trying to solve the problem and I can't find anything. I've tried downloading other drivers and I get a similar error. I'm lost can you please help.

Thanks

Hello Jersey,

Let me help you with this.

Based on your description it is important to say that the Graphics controller cannot be updated by installing the driver updates.

If you computer has an Intel® HD 3000 Graphics controller (hardware) you need to install the latest graphics driver for this controller but I am afraid to say that the only way to update to HD 4000 or higher will be changing the processor.

For your Graphics controller, you can get the latest driver at the following link:

Our current graphics controller along with the driver support Directx 11. You can check this information at the following link:

Yes you are correct I missed that. The support for HD 3000 is up to 10.1. At this point our drivers just provide support to that version. Newer graphics controllers can support up to 11.1.
