The screen is not identified.
I there a specific or generic solution to connecting such a screen?

Hello sugirobi,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
In order to better assist you, please provide the following:
1. Have you tried with a straight connection (DVI to DVI or USB-C to USB-C)?
2. Are you using the latest drivers from Acer?
3. Was the configuration working before?
4. Have you get in contact with Acer to confirm that the laptop support adapters?
5. What is the model name of your processor?
Also, bear in mind that Intel does not recommend using adapters since they can present unexpected issues to your system.
Regards,

Hi
I am using a new Acer Aspire 5 laptop.
Previously, the screen was connected to a desktop sound card.
So the configuration (DVI from screen to a DVI to USB C adapter) has yet to work.
The processor is: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz
And IrisXe graphics.

Hello Nirkoz,
Thanks for the information provided.
In order to help you further, please try the following:
1. Use the latest graphics drivers from Acer?
2. Use a straight connection, no adapters or converters.
3. Try with the latest Intel driver.

As mentioned previously, Intel recommends using always a straight connection since the adapter may not work properly. If the recommendation from above did not work, please get in contact with Acer to confirm if the adapter used is compatible or if their system supports adapters.
