Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to connect my lapatop (Acer Aspire Timeline 5820tz) to my TV set which is Panasonic Viera TH-37PX8E via HDMI. I have my HDMI cable and tried to set it up, but my laptop never recognizes the TV. I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I tried restarting couple of times, I set the TV to HDMI but it just wont communicate. I went trough through the TV manual and there should be no problem there, but Intel Graphic and Media Control Panel has "Monitor/TV Settings are not supported" writen there. Is there any way to to fix it. I spent quite same time googling around, but never found a solution for this specific case.
Thank you

Hi there!
Connecting you TV through HDMI cable should not give you a lot of trouble, this is if you are using straight cables (Hdmi to Hdmi), if there is another device between them it won't work, in other words, video cable adapters do not work. Always use straight cables.
Make sure you are using updated graphics drivers, they are available at http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/detect.htm http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/detect.htm
Also, see if you can install monitor drivers, contact your TV manufacturer and get latest monitor INF drivers.
For information about installing monitor drivers you can see this link:

Additionally, check below for more information about TV out troubleshooting:

Thanks
Allan.
