Dell Lattitude 5550 USB C (thunderbolt) not working for external monitor

Just recently updated to Lattitude 5550 via my employer. I am unable to connect my travel external monitor as of late. I do a type C to type C connection from the monitor into my thunderbolt port. I read their could be a setting or issue with my drivers. Help!

Please specify the manufacturer and model of the monitor.
