I own a Z68 Gigabyte motherboard GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3. I am about to purchase a new monitor running at 2560x1440 60Hz.
I would like to display the monitor at full resolution over the DVI-D port using the Intel HD 3000 IGP. Will this work? Or would it only work under a Displayport?
Thanks.

Hi there!
The Intel HD Graphics 3000 supports up to 2560 x 1600 through HDMI, VGA and DisplayPort screen resolution. See below for information about graphics specifications:

Please bear in mind the graphics controller can support up to 2560 x 1600 but computer manufacturers may disable some video modes
Thanks
Allan.

2560x1600 is only supported through Displayport as far as I know. HDMI/VGA only up to 1920x1200.
