Dual Monitor through Displayport/HDMI not working?

Hello,

I am an

HP Elitedesk 800 G1 SFF,

Intel Core i7 4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.4 GHz with Intel

HD graphics 4600,

1 x VGA

2 X Displayports.

Monitors: Samsung S22E310H(Monitor 1) + ViewSonic VA2246m-led (Monitor 2) +

I have connected M1 with an Insignia Displayport/HDMI converter to the HDMI port on the monitor. and M2 with a VGA/VGA cable.

M2 seems to work just fine but M1 has a black screen. Both monitors are detected by the PC as they do show when i go to screen resolution.

FYI M1 is set as screen # 1 and M2 as screen # 2, however, when i try to switch this around through the Intel HD Graphics control panel, it won't let me apply this settings.

Does anybody have any ideas of how to make this work?

Thanks.

Hello ubxssangz,

Thank you for joining the Intel communities.

Please try installing the latest graphics driver for this unit from the following website:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4600 Drivers & Software

Do you have the option to use straight connection instead of an adapter?

I can see from the HP website they use the HP DisplayPort to HDMI 1.4 Adapter as you can see at:

http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-displayport-to-hdmi-14-adapter http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-displayport-to-hdmi-14-adapter

Is yours DisplayPort to HDMI 1.4 or 1.2 or something else?

Regards!

Ivan

Hello ubxssangz,

I'm glad to hear that your issue has been resolve and thank you for letting me know.

I would like to ask you, was the issue resolved because you install the driver, use straight connection or the HP adapter?

Thank,

Ivan

Hello Ivanu,

I actually called HP and they sent over a technician who told me he just updated the driver.

Thanks again for your help.
