I have an Asus UX501J that use Intel HD Graphics 4600. Usually I connect 2 extra monitors. Today I came back to my computer and all displays was in chaos. My main screen was in 4K duplicated with some other screen that do not exist. In total my driver is telling me I have 7 monitors. See my screen dump. No use to update the driver. This is the latest.

Hi guys,

As per the post from habl on the 14th Oct, 2017 8:13 PM, I can confirm that driver 20.19.15.4416 works.

This is no longer available via Windows Update, but you can get it from Geeks3D still:

http://www.geeks3d.com/forums/index.php?topic=4482.0 Intel HD Graphics Driver 20.19.15.4416 (w/o Vulkan)

and here:

https://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/31414-intel-graphics-driver-2019154416/ Intel Graphics Driver 20.19.15.4416 - Intel GMA releases - LaptopVideo2Go Forums

I'm successfully running Hyper-V with 3 VM's and Intel control panel works with all my monitors and no Generic-PNP ghost's!

So far this driver seems to be stable.

Happy viewing.

EDIT:

Forgot to mention, you must install via .inf file manually.

Download the .zip.

Extract and and update the device in Device Manager, browse to the .zip and select .inf

Yeah seems that way.

20.19.15.4416 is the only drive that works for me.

Just incase you aren't already, before you try install a new driver manually via the .inf file > Make sure you uninstall the old driver propoerly first with the driver sweeper in safemode > http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 17.0.7.7

In my case, yesterday I decided to format and install Windows from fresh (for various other reasons, non graphics related).

Now I don't seem to have any problems with the latest driver from Win update on the 4600 HD, using hyper-v........ I dont understand why... but it's working so not complaining.

20.19.15.4531 29/09/2016

Maybe you sholud try the same (or as a test, swap your hard drive with another one, and install a fresh copy of Windows and see if problem persists).

Nevermind.

I see that this problem only ocurrs after the Win 10 Anniversary Date with the latest drivers.

After the anniversary date was installed, I had to revert driver back to: 20.19.15.4416 is

Back to normal now.

Hey, I've tried that. No luck. I've already formatted my drive twice and I'm not really willing to do it again.

My problem doesn't seem related to hyper-v but Intel corp keeps referring me to this thread so I'm hoping someone looks at my original post and comes up with a solution.

Same in my case. I've tried 4703, 4624 and 4279 drivers. Only the last one works fine with Hyper-V.

Same issue when hyper-v is enabled.

I installed an older driver manually.

20.19.15.4624 => do not work

20.19.15.4531 => do not work

20.19.15.4416 => WORKS

How can I prevent Windows from updating it automatically?

Any ETA regarding an up to date driver that works?

Thanks

You can prevent Windows 10 from automatically updating a specific device driver by using Local Group Policy Editor to block the hardware ID.

Instructions on how to do this can be found here: https://www.howtogeek.com/263851/how-to-prevent-windows-from-automatically-updating-specific-drivers/ How to Prevent Windows from Automatically Updating Specific Drivers

FINALLY, newest .4835 version solves the problem. It's great that Intel solves the problem but definitely it takes too long.

Think twice before next buy.

.4835 hasn't fixed it for me. Hyper-V still borks my system.

Installed the new drivers, restarted and then installed Hyper-V. I can confirm that the 4835 drivers have resolved this issue for me. Thanks.

Driver Version 4835 also solved the Hyper-V related problem on my Dell Latitude E6540. Unfortunately, now the HDMI Audio Driver (which is part of the driver package) does not work. The attached monitor is recognized as a playback device, but i can hear no sound. I assume that I Dell will sometime provide a customized driver based on version 4835. But I do not want to wait for another year for this update. Any hints, how I can solve this problem?

Hi Matt7598

Please submit your issue with this Virtual Display on a new thread. The reason is because every case is different, and this thread is related to a very specific situation (i.e several ghost monitors appearing when Hyper-V is enabled).

We are interested in helping you, and creating a new thread will let us capture more accurately all details related to the issue. Preferably using the template suggested here: https://communities.intel.com/thread/77761 https://communities.intel.com/thread/77761

Best Regards,

Ronald M.

I have 2 laptops that the exact same situation in that dxdiag reports 2 INSTANCES OF THE INTEL HD 620 or 630 Driver

Which is not possible, since each laptop has only 1 Intel graphics driver.

The Windows os is different 18362.19h1_release.190318-1202 for Intel HD Graphics 620 system 17763.rs5_release.180914-1434 for the Intel HD Graphics 630 system

The Laptop with the HD 630 system also has a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 THIS CAUSING MY COMPANY SEVERE DISTRESS AS MULTIPLE CUSTOMERs ARE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE

Attached are the DxDiag.txt files
