GRAPHICS CONTROLLER DRIVER AND SCREEN RESOLUTION

I have just installed a new flat screen monitor to my computer. In the set-up phase, the monitor informed me to set my screen resolution to 1920 X 1080 pixels. However, I do not have this option in my resolution settings. The best I can do is 1600 X 900. I contacted the manufacturer of the monitor (LG EW224T), and they told me that I probably needed to update my graphics driver. I have an Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller, and my current driver version is 6.14.10.4342. Can anyone tell me if I have the latest driver, and/or how I can go about fixing this resolution problem. Many thanks!

There are some Intel® Graphics Controller that are no longer under support and others are out of interactive support, when this happens Intel will not provide any future software updates to support new operating systems or improve compatibility with third party devices and software products
