Game Support-Elden Ring Nightreign

Recently updated to the newest Intel Iris Xe gpu 32.0.101.6795, which literally says that it has built-in Intel® Arc™ GPUs for Elden Ring Nightreign. Attempted to run the game and all it does is crash after a period of white screen. I then disabled the intel iris xe gpu and ran the game on only microsoft display adapter and the game launched perfectly fine, although I still can not run it due to poor fps. Is there anyone who can help me understand what's happening and whether there is a fix?

My device is a laptop, 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1355U

What fps did u have in the game and did that red tint make your gameplay harder by any means?

Hello John_nai,

Thank you for posting in the community! I see that you’re discussing how to resolve the same issue, so let’s set the right expectations first.

The Intel graphics driver does not contain a built-in Intel Arc GPU. I’m curious where you might have seen this, as I checked the release notes, and there’s no mention of the Intel Iris Xe graphics driver including Arc GPU functionality.

Regarding the system requirements for Elden Ring: NightReign, the minimum GPU requirement is a GTX 1060 or RX 580 both of which are more powerful than Intel Iris Xe and better suited for handling the game’s demanding graphics. Additionally, the game requires at least 3 to 4 GB of VRAM, whereas Iris Xe relies on shared memory with RAM, making it unsuitable for running the game optimally.

I’d like to investigate further, so could you answer the following questions:

  • What is the exact model of your laptop?
  • Do other AAA games like Elden Ring exhibit the same issue?
  • Have you tried performing a clean installation using DDU?
  • Can you share your in-game graphics and display setting?

Furthermore, to gain a comprehensive understanding of your system, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This tool will generate a text file compiling all your system information. You can follow the instructions at this link and send the text file here: Help Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility

as of patch 1.01.1, nightreign still wouldn't fixes theit whitescreen crash issues, this may have something to do both the game and the drivers which i hope intel would release for iris xe

Don't tell me man. You are having similar problems in the game than in the last of us part 2. They probably won't fix it (or fix it for Christmas) idk.
