Gaming laptop wont show 144Hz on 144Hz integrated monitor

Last month I bought a Gaming laptop, HP Victus 16 - Intel core i5 11400H and have a Nvidia RTX 3060 laptop GPU and also have a 144Hz 1920x1080p integrated monitor.

Now my problem is that the monitor wont show 144Hz, 60.01 and 40.02 are the only refresh rate available, moreover its said that the integrated monitor is plugged to the "intel UHD graphics for 11th gen processors. I tried anything like update all GPU drivers with performing clean installation and other things/

I heard that intel UHD graphics for 11th gen processor can support 1080p 144Hz, is that true ?.

Please can somone helps me I don't know what to do anymore.

Thanks you.

For starters, you need to download the original Intel graphics driver provided by HP. After disconnecting from the Internet, install the Intel graphics driver that you downloaded. Power off, wait 2 minutes and then, while still keeping the Internet disconnected, boot up and check if the laptop will then connect to the internal monitor at 144Hz. If it will not, then you need to contact HP. If they list this laptop as supporting 144Hz, then there is something wrong with this laptop.

Hope this helps,

On the HP website. They should have a page where you can download driver packages for your particular laptop.

Hello Hira,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I am sorry to know that you are having issues with your Intel® Core™ i5-11400H Processor.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following:

1. If you have not tried this, perform a clean install of the Intel drivers:

2. Run all the operating system updates, including the optional ones.

3. Make sure that you have the latest BIOS version installed. You may need to check this with the laptop manufacturer.

I would like to let you know that the Intel® UHD Graphics for 11th Gen Intel® Processors support 144Hz at 1080p. If the issue persists after the try the steps provided, I recommend you get in contact with the laptop manufacturer to confirm if there is any malfunction with the screen.

Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel.

Hello DavidA_Intel, As you said before I tried everything like make a clean drivers intallation with the intel driver software and a clean driver installation with DDU (unistall all graphics drivers and downloaded them again for reinstallation).
