HD 4000 Drivers Result in No DVI Signal Detected

Hello,

I've just assembled my new desktop computer and after installing Intel's latest HD 4000 drivers (going from basic Microsoft drivers), my monitor is not detected by Intel graphics (connected via a DVI cable), and my monitor does not sense any DVI signal input.

Everything is fine during the BIOS / Windows boot-up sequence (I can see the Starting Windows screen), but then the display goes blank (corresponding to the time Windows Log-on screen should be presented).

  • Can you please advise if there is a setting or something similar I can apply to get my monitor and the Intel graphics DVI output to recognize one another?

NOTE: As a temporary troubleshooting measure I've connected my old VGA monitor which seems to work fine.

Thank you!

/Dragan

Hi dragon0t3,

What model is your Gigabyte* motherboard? Can you try using the VGA/Graphics driver provided by Gigabyte*? Also, are you connecting directly from your display to your system, or going through an AV/R device?

Lastly, on your monitor there should be a button (looks like a box inside another box usually), which is used for switching between display modes (VGA, DVI, HDMI, etc). Have you tried pressing that a few times while the system is up to see if it's just trying to display in the wrong mode?

Let me know if any of this works for you,

-Nic
