Older versions still work, but now the later alert that system does not meet minimum requirements. Using intel autodetect driver or manually finding it produces same result. PC is Aspire R7-571G, Windows 7 64.

Hello Smuck, thanks for contacting us through the Intel Communities.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your system, the following URL will give you some steps you can follow in order to solve the error you are getting "System does not meet minimum requirements" http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034659.htm Graphics — Error messages seen when installing Intel® Graphics Drivers

Some computer manufacturer does not allow the installation of generic Intel video drives. However, you may try forcing the installation of Intel generic drivers by performing manual procedure, see here for instructions: http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm Graphics Drivers — Computer manufacturer graphics driver detected

This is the latest graphic driver available version 3621

Manual install choosing Option 2-2-2 worked. Option 2-2-2 is: Download driver software as zip file and extract it; open Device Manager in Windows, right-click Intel HD Graphics 4000 and select Update Driver Software...; then choose option 2 "Browse my computer for driver software" and then choose again option 2 "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" and then choose option 2 "Have disk..." and locate the .inf file in graphics folder of the driver files. Repeat the process to update Intel Display Audio driver which is part of it.

Intel Update Auto Detect now shows graphics drivers updated.

But it still shows that Wireless need updating when it is updated. In Device Manager checking driver version shows the latest which was downloaded, but Intel Auto Detect Driver shows a lower version. Maybe this Intel Auto Detect that requires java etc. saves data in a cache or something and does not actually read the update.

Smuck, the issue you are getting is totally different from what we are discussing on this thread; however the wireless driver version installed on your computer depends on the following:

  • Intel wireless adapter installed.
  • Operating system installed.

The http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect Intel® Driver Update Utility can help you determine which adapter and operating system is installed and automatically installs the current version on your computer.

Additional information could be found at this URL http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-034315.htm http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-034315.htm
