HD Graphics 610 HDMI Audio fails after pc wakes up

Hi, I wonder if you can help me, I am having problems with the HDMI audio on my system.

When I boot my pc the HDMI audio works perfectly and is available, but after several hours of using the pc the HDMI audio option disappears and is no longer available until the pc is rebooted.

Can you please help me resolve this issue.

I have included the Intel ssu scan, this was taken when the hdmi audio had vanished.

Thanks

Hello scouseman,

I understand HDMI audio stops working after several hours of using the PC.

Let me apologize for any inconvenience this issue may be causing to you.

I would like you to try updating some of the computer drivers in a specific order.

Please install this driver first, and then restart the computer http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Drivers/Intel/INF/INF(v10.1.1.38).zip http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Drivers/Intel/INF/INF(v10.1.1.38).zip

Install this other driver, and then restart the computer one more time http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Drivers/Intel/Others/ME(v11.6.0.1126_MEI).zip http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Drivers/Intel/Others/ME(v11.6.0.1126_MEI).zip

Install the latest graphics driver we have on our website, and then restart the computer again https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27058/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-46-?product=96551 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27058/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-46-?product=96551

Test the system and let me know if issue persists or not.

Regards,

Hi Fred,

Thanks for your reply, I have now realised that the HDMI sound was disappearing after windows timed out and put pc to sleep and I woke it up. have updated all drivers as suggested

Anyway, I have updated all drivers as suggested but now things have gone worse, as after I wake up my pc I now have no picture, I can see nothing but a yellow screen with white vertical lines, to resolve this I need to reboot my pc.

Cheers

Hello scouseman,

I am sorry to hear you are still having issues with the computer.

I would like you to try installing previous version of the graphics driver. Please download the graphics driver that is on this link https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26941/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-46- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26941/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-46-

As soon as the graphics driver has been downloaded uninstall the Intel® Graphics Driver and Intel® Display HDMI/Audio Driver from Device Manager using the steps that are on the following link and then restart the computer https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005598.html https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005598.html

Let me know if issue persists or not.

Hello scouseman,

I am sorry to hear you are still having issues in your computer.

The best option would be to keep using the graphics driver ASRock* has validated for your computer. you can download it from this link http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Drivers/Intel/VGA/VGA(v21.20.16.4542).zip http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Drivers/Intel/VGA/VGA(v21.20.16.4542).zip

If possible try different HDMI cable. There is a chance the lines might be caused by a faulty cable.

Are you using HDMI to HDMI cable?

Hi, Sorry for the delay replying to this thread. I have been away on vacation.

The problem with my HDMI audio has returned it is still happening when my pc goes into sleep but the audio works fine when the pc is rebooted, however the vertical lines problem has gone.

I have changed the hdmi cable but that does not help

Cheers

Hello scouseman,

I tried to reproduce the issue in our lab using an Intel® NUC Kit NUC7i3BNH, but the HDMI audio worked fine after I woke the computer up from sleep mode. The computer I used comes with Intel® HD Graphics 620 which uses the exact same graphics driver you have installed in your computer. There is a chance the issue might be related to the operating system itself.

In case you have a spare hard drive, try installing Windows 10* from scratch in that drive and check if issue persists or not.

Hi Fred, it was only after I formatted my pc, these issues started arising, with my previous windows 10 installation there were no issues, do you suggest I format my pc and use the same Windows 10 installation files?

When you tested the driver in the lab did you use the same Windows 10 version as I was using?

Cheers

Mark

Hello scouseman,

I used Windows 10* Pro 64-bit (Build 15063). I noticed that your computer does not have the Windows* Creators Update installed yet, because the operating system build you are using is 14393 (Redstone 1). You may try installing the Creators Update manually and checking if issue persists or not. You may download it from this link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
