HDMI Audio problems with UHD 630 of new i3 8100 Dell Vostro 3670 (No HDMI sound or device on sounds) [SOLVED]

Hello,

this is the status of sounds on Win10. The hdmi monitor is connected but....the device is not present. I have tried all the latest drivers of Intel audio with no success.

Do you have any idea?

Thank you for posting in the Intel® community.

 

  1. Run the utility.
  2. Click on "Scan" to get the scanned system.
  3. Once the scan is complete click on "next".
  4. Use the "save" option, save the report to your desktop.
  5. To attach a file, you must click the "Attach" option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.

  • Yes, i have tried that with no success.
  • The display monitor is Dell S2216H(HDMI)
  • Yes
  • I attach the report and a txt file (dx_info) that was generated by itself.

Thank you for the information.
  • Verify if the system has worked properly at some point or if the error occurred after an update or upgrade?
  • Do have any error reported on the device manager?
  • Have you tried the display on another system?
  • Have you tested the system with a different HDMI® cable?

  • Many updates have been applied. The problem is there a very long time.
  • No errors reported
  • The monitor has been tested succesfully on another system
  • I have tested the system with another HDMI cable with no luck.

OK, the solution was really hidden and unpredictable. If you disable Legacy booting from BIOS and use UEFI, the HDMI sound is coming out without problem. "Good wines" as we say in my country or "Needle on a haystack" if you prefer.
