I have an acer aspire ES1-512, and when i connect it to my TV via HDMI, i get a picture that is cropped, with the edges extending past the tv's edges. I have tried changing the resolution, to no avail. There is also no option to change display area. Thank you for your help.

Hello JDuskey.

This is called "Overscan" and it is something very common when connecting a computer to a TV rather than a monitor. This typically needs to be correct on the TV side and not on the computer.

Check with TV manufacturer to see what feature they have for correcting this, what this feature is called can change between manufacturers.
