How to fix drives infected by Antivirus8?

My PC was infected by antivirus8, even though I have Norton antivirus installed. Norton tried to fix remotely, but could not repair hard drives until I had pristine drivers available. I found Chipset 875P downloads on Intel site, but it seems that they must be loaded onto floppy disk. Is this true? Can they be repaired another way?
