Doing Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B causes a BSOD. Yes it's a beta version, but I don't want to see this happening in newer stable releases...
Or maybe the problem is already happening in stable versions ? Might have to check for it.

Hello Xillvion,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I am sorry to know that you are having issues with your Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics.
In order to better assist you, please provide the following:
1. Can you take a short video where we can see the issue?
2. Have you tested the latest Intel driver version (non Beta)?
3. Have you experienced any other issues?
4. Have you noticed this issue with any other computers with Intel graphics? If so, can you provide the graphics and processor model?
Regards,
Deivid A.

- Rather not do a recording of the BSOD, I have some privacy reasons currently.
- Yes, stable driver version 30.0.101.1994 does not have this problem.
- A game refuses to start, which is Splitgate. Game performance (in any games) seems to be reduced by a bit.
- I don't have any other computers to check.

Hello Xillvion,
Thanks for your patience. In, as you mentioned, this is the BETA driver version which is not fully stable and could cause some behaviors if you do not have any issues with the latest release 30.0.101.1994 (Stable version).
You mentioned that you are not having any issues with the stable version of the drivers, however, I would like to know if you would want us to investigate this issue with the BETA version further or if you just wanted to share the outcome of your test.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
Best regards,
Deivid A.

Yes, please investigate it further, there are too many issues on Iris Xe Graphics compared to my previous 10th Gen UHD Graphics system, and also, the latest generic stable driver version used to cause a problem where every 3D application would crash but it no longer happens, instead it causes the whole system to sometimes randomly freeze for a second when in games.

Hello Xillvion,
In order to continue with the investigation, I will need the following information:
1. Please provide the dump files, a screenshot of the BSOD, and Windows event viewer logs.
2. What are the affected games and settings being used? (pictures or videos)
3. Are you using the BETA (Season 2) version of the game called Splitgate?
4. Are you getting any errors due to CS mentioning the game refuses to start? (Pictures)
5. What are the affected 3D apps that you mentioned were crashing and what were the errors?
6. Can you describe the performance issue?
7. Provide the information on the other system that performs betters 10gen?
Also, bear in mind that the performance depends on different hardware not only graphics, for example, amount of memory, running on '''SSD, processor, etc.
Regards,
Deivid A.

- Contains the dump file and photo of the BSOD, no event logs since it wasn't working: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NjEbM31tLP9ZiBaFGn9rLtERWTJRLD56?usp=sharing
- Um, other than Splitgate, no games weren't affected by the beta driver.
- Obviously
- Well actually, Splitgate suddenly works okay on the beta driver I tested yesterday, instead the stable driver gets this problem as well and the game client freezes without any error message until a full system restart . Also forced the game's anti cheat, EQU8, to run as administrator.
- What I meant by 3D apps is games actually, and they are Fortnite, Warframe, and the Roblox Client. I believe they were DXGI errors but I couldn't properly check for the logs.
- The performance issue with the beta drivers must be because of the graphics driver installer issues, I can't see the slightly lower performance now.
- The 10th gen system that has a i5-10210U CPU with Intel UHD Graphics, while being slightly weaker than my current one, is much more stable with games and the OS, presumably because the pandemic never happened.

- Here's the dump file and the picture of the BSOD, no event logs since it wasn't working: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NjEbM31tLP9ZiBaFGn9rLtERWTJRLD56?usp=sharing
- Splitgate no longer freezes but instead, it's the Roblox Client that randomly crashes after a few minutes, causing a yellow horizontal line on the top of the display, high graphical settings but each game on that platform has a different lightning engine system.
- Of course
- For Splitgate, it doesn't give a crash reporter. For the Roblox Client, it just tell you an unexpected error occurred, that's it.
- On the stable driver I'm on right now, the 3D apps which actually another word for saying games, Fortnite, Roblox and Warframe all crashes after a few minutes of opening them, and I believe they are DXGI errors.
- I think the slight performance decrease means something from 100fps to 90fps, but I can't confirm it.
- It has an i5-10210U CPU with Intel UHD Graphics, because it was developed way before the pandemic happened, software developers had a chance to check the code out before work from home became a thing. And I guess developers don't really care about faster integrated graphics now.

Hello Xillvion,
Thanks for all the information provided. Before I continue with the investigation I would like to confirm the following:
1. Based on your response, the game Splitgate is not having issues with the BETA and stable version?
2. Now the games Fortnite, Roblox, and Warframe are presenting the issue (crashes) instead of Splitgate? Does this happen with the BETA version or also with the stable version?
Best regards,
Deivid A.

- It still does on both driver versions, if the game stops responding for no reason, it won't work the second time you try to launch and a full restart of the system must be done so for the game to continue working again.
- It used to happen on the stable version but I'm not getting any crashes since then. It could just be a driver conflict or something, I have no idea. I think those crashes are still probably happening for my specific hardware.
I think I actually had a BSOD before that's not related to this, and it was despite having very stable drivers. I feel like Windows fast startup is adding to the problem, I have never experienced problems with it on my previous 10th gen Intel hardware.

Never mind, the frequent crashes are back on the stable version, so I will be downgrading. I don't want my OEM, Acer, to receive the problematic driver code that is already happening on generic version and then push out to Windows Update without them noticing, causing system instabilities for my laptop.

I will appreciate the confirmation.

The beta graphics installer has that option, so yes, I went with it. Also, Windows likes to block files downloaded from the internet, if you right click any downloaded files (including any Intel graphics installer executable) and go to properties, there's a option to unblock. It shouldn't really affect the system but I thought I just let you know about it while you're investigating other problems.

Hello Xillvion,
I do appreciate your confirmation. I will continue with the investigation, however, bear in mind that I cannot promise anything since I was not able to get the same results when tried to replicate the issue.
Also, I was considering the possibility that this issue could be related to the operating system. I will inform you if there is any update on this matter.

Deivid A.

Installed the stable driver version, 31.0.101.3222, and it looks like doing that keyboard shortcut to reset the graphics driver no longer causes a BSOD. However, the other issues that I have experienced in previous driver versions, which is random game crashes as well as random display graphical glitches, are still present in this version, really frustrating.

Hello Xillvion,
Thanks for your response. Before I continue I would like if you have performed a clean installation of the 31.0.101.3222/31.0.101.2111 driver version.
Here are the steps in case you have not performed it:
