Acer Aspire 3910 with no modifications. It has a vga output and a hdmi connection output. I have been using dual monitors for a year. All of a suden the hdmi output quit, I think right after a windows update. Present driver is 8.15.10.2255
I have tried and tested many things, like installing the original display drivers 8.15.10.1851 but it did not help. Tested cables, monitors (two Acer v223w), Computer seems like it dosn't find the hdmi port at all. Win+p did not work. Only one monitor shows up. I have searched untill I am confused. You help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Bruce Wilson

Hi there!
It seems be a windows registry problem after loading Windows Updates. You could try running system restore or even try to force the installation of generic drivers. See instructions for manual installation here:

Thanks
Allan.

Thank you so much for your answer.
I did install the Intel generic drivers as you suggested. System restore is past the dates when hdmi quit. When starting normally, vga video quits, saying no signal. In safe mode, in device manager, in display adapters, it lists
two g45/g43 express chipsets. Both have the lastest driver 8.15.10.2555. one lists several resources and the other only 1 memory resource. Should there be two listings? I think something is wrong in the registery. Attached is a export of my registery if you can read it? Can you tell me how to trouble shoot the registery entrys for video?
